what I’ve consumed, what I’ve been fed

but I know what I feel
not all that we see is real
I know there’s more to an orange than it’s peel
I’m on an adventure and I’m at the wheel
I’m not afraid to embrace what others fear
I accept what I know and hold onto it dear.
I react to energy, but am swayed by words.
While living in a foreign land I learned that I can only trust what I feel, not just go by the words that come out of the mouth. I had to learn to read energy to know whether they had good intentions or not… I didn’t learn this straightaway, but finally I learned to trust what I felt, to stand tall with my decision and to do what I had to do…
I see the expression, I see it in it’s true form.
Like anything, when I see it, its with me
I cannot act like I’ve not seen it even if I try…
I try to steer clear of false identities
wolves in sheep’s clothing
and the sheep with fangs
I suggest that it all be taken off
until then – I request that you stay away
I don’t know an easier way to convey
that I only want truth and honesty.
I only want those around me who want the same
even in places where I see smiling faces
where words do not erase the incongruent
actions of thier body
so please step back away from me old friend
people change i understand
but for christ’s sake don’t try to force
something that isn’t there… whats the point?
I want to be true to me
and I want those around me to be true to them too
hopefully we can come together later
on a healthy platform to share what we’ve learned
to exchange ideas and thoughts we’ve earned…

I said to him “Daddy…”
“I’m not worried about money…”
it will come – its a great resource
and I know I’ll be well off in life.
So if I just focus on what I like,
what I’m passionate about – which I am now,
well in our society
we compensate monetarily
and I will be compensated well
but my soul is not for sale.
I can’t be concerned with things
when I know the truth lies in the feelings.
I thanked him for giving me love as best he could
and told him that I’m trying to focus on the good.
He said I have such a solid head on my shoulders
like someone much wiser and certainly older.
I reminded him that I am just twenty-eight
I’ve got a long road ahead to anticipate
lots of good fortune and love will surely come my way,
as long as I’m good to myself every single day.

How to spark the light… the intellectual light in the dark? You can’t just point out and say “this is it.” There is a process of learning, thinking involved that eventually creates a revolution in one’s mind that creates the spark. That spark hopefully leads to light and it all has to start somewhere, but it has to be discovered individually – by one’s own merit – by one’s own way – that’s the only way for anything to have a full and major effect upon one’s life.
Everything is about the light
striving every day to live right.
I take Einstein’s light to mean so much more
like living life without keeping score.
Listening to the interpretation of time and space
while watching the expressions formed on your face.
Slowing it down and talking about time
creates an awareness in my mind.
I love that you make me think
about relations and the importance of being in sync.
Dipping in space as our world revolves around us
this helps me to understand karma and the little stuff.
If you live by this idea you’re bound to know whats good
while funneling your energy to be understood.
So my world really does revolve around me,
this realization finally allows me to breathe.
I have control of the good, bad and neutral that comes my way,
the responsibility is mine and I know it will be okay.
This idea makes incredible sense
now I can hurdle my mental fence.
So if we keep giving all of our love
we’re sure to rise up to the plane above
creating a unique world within space and time
never being restricted, limited or confined.
Searching for our own truths while we’re here together
In our own little dip now and possibly forever.
Forgetting about “things” and focusing within
while living simply we’re bound to win.

will finally know what its like to finally be free.

yet I still believe what you say

Why not tell the truth
be honest and lay it out
not just spurt a firearm of words
from your mouth and into the air
slow it down
think about what you really want
find who you are
and be honest of high how you set the bar.
I don’t want to be around a liar
someone who just says what they think I want to hear
I’d rather be alone with my own ideas, thoughts and actions
than to have someone like that near
so stay away until you’re ready to speak
straight from the heart
of thoughts that are real
and true feelings that you feel.
Prove it with what you do
and you’ll understand
why I find this to be such a virtue.
Last night I spoke with a long time girl friend that I have known for a good 14 years… Life has taken us in different directions yet we still seem to have similar trials… I found myself telling her all of the things that I know I should adhere to as well. About being good to yourself, about making sure that you are healthy before extending your self to another person. About taking the time to stand on your own, to learn about your own soul, develop your thoughts on your own, to be strong and aware of who you are, without relying on a man to fill in the gaps. About the glory of being a woman and how it is essential to not take the freedom we have in our generation, here in America, for granted. That life is full of endless possibilities and there are so many options available at any given time. To not worry too much about trying to compromise or adjust within a relationship if there are fundamental differences that just don’t jive. To not focus too much on the future and just focus on what is happening right now. To surround your self with positive energy in your best environment where you feel the most love. To listen to the inner voice as there is always a reason when you hear it. Most importantly to keep striving for honesty in both mind and heart as good will be inevitable. Great love will come but only after Great love is found within your own soul…
The beauty about interacting with others is that you are able to have a conversation. Specifically when you are surrounding yourself with those who are worthwhile, that have attributes that compliment yours so you can continue to learn and vice versa. To be able to flow in a conversation about love and life and being is very special… to share a part of you, right now, with another is absolute love.
I am so blessed to have such incredible women in my life. They are beautiful souls that I learn and grown with each time we interact. Just writing this brings such warmth and love for them, my self and life.
